In the picture "Le jardin foisonnant" ("The rampant garden") from the year 2000, a woman in a dotted dress hangs a fifth satellite dish with theatrical gestures on the wall of a garden house next to four satellite dishes of different sizes - or is she in the process of aligning the dish? Contrary to the title, the garden is by no means lush, but the abundance of media receivers is quite opulent. This is all the more surprising since it concerns a rather small dwelling between a garden house and a living hut, which is surrounded by a fence and an iron gate - within this boundary there is no fresh planting, only a stool. Outside the front garden you can see a sprouted plant, which also does not give the impression of a well-kept ambience. Looking at the only acting person, he is busy, fiddling with the equipment, but still lacks any attention to the flora. This continues in the painterly timbre: from the bottom, the color evolves from green to brown tones in the upper half of the picture, which do not exactly create the impression of a flourishing life. Thus, the thought suggests itself that the proliferating element is the satellite reception.
