Salvador Dalí was a main representative of surrealism. His work is influenced by the Old Masters of the Renaissance such as Raphaël. Dalí showed artistic talent at a young age, so his parents arranged painting classes with the Impressionist artist Ramon Pichot. Dalí studied at the Academy of San Fernando in Madrid, but never finished his studies.
