Lothar Fischer's interest is always in the pictorial form, which in his opinion constitutes the actual expression of a work of art, which for the most part arises spontaneously, emotionally and naturally in the making. With his statuesque, archaic statuettes, he wants to counteract the gimmicky and arbitrary current in contemporary art.
