Search for traces / Positions of the avant-garde

Under the aegis of the Rottweiler sculptor Erich Hauser, a private collection was formed, in which a special selection of sophisticated and high-quality works of art of the avant-garde of the 1960s and early 1970s has come together - by artists who were met with international interest early on and others who caused a sensation at the time and are now back in the focus of art history. This collection captures the artistic orientations that were current for the time. The Rottweiler Kunstverein and the once pioneering Galerie Müller in Stuttgart were important sources of inspiration for the collector's engagement with the artistic avant-garde of the time.
In the diversity of the exhibition, which is accompanied by a catalog, the breadth of the field of tension of this important period of art in the second half of the 20th century, which makes the social upheaval and progress visible, becomes present again.
