Hans Peter Reuter became famous in the 1970s with his depiction of tiled rooms. He countered the label "Kachel-Reuter" (Tile Reuter), which had been given to him, with a completely different, profound penetration of space with the help of the color blue, which subtly earned him a second title: the "Blaue Reuter" (Blue Reuter). The early impression of brittle bathrooms was transformed into finely modulated illusionary spaces, whose tile structure is constructively built and at the same time a reflection of the felt longing color of Romanticism - think of the symbol of the "Blue Flower". The memory of the color-sensing art movement of the "Blaue Reiter" is a reference to the modernity of Reuter's art. Besides Yves Klein, Hans Peter Reuter is the most famous artist capable of perpetuating ultramarine blue in our senses. However, the sight of the strictly thought-out color nuances makes Reuter's work incomparable. It can be experienced in the Schlichtenmaier Gallery.
