Eckart Hahn's "(Eternal) Globe" plays with the paradox represented by a man-sized copper-plated glove cast in aluminum, whose actual model is nothing more than a work glove of the simplest manufacture. In its metallic exaggeration it undergoes a transformation into the monumental - with the touch of eternity, as the title tentatively notes, in brackets. Eckart Hahn plays with the expectations of the motif as well as of the material in terms of weight, material texture. With his installative and object-like works, he transfers the intention of his painting to question reality into the three-dimensional - at the same time, his sculptures as painted installations could also be found in his paintings.
