Painting, that was for Sibylle Wagner for many years the occupation with the color white. A white, according to the artist, "which today has become the subject of light". The work with white, the central importance of light and the intense experiences with her performances merge into the new paintings. The light strips have the character of an active glow, the photography retains the scenic habitus of a performance: "I like it when the image still breathes out the action." Paying attention often begins with the question of the cause of this effect. How is it made? There is no active light source. Just the combination of the paint (light) and the plexiglass (material) creates this intensity. Light, glow or luminosity burst forth from the most hidden. Contrary to the nature of light not to be visible, but to make visible, light itself becomes form. The hidden, however, where this light comes from or where it could lead us, remains preserved.
